"She does not worry about her household because of snow,
For her whole household is clothed in warm garments."
-Proverbs 31:21
Even though it's been a relatively mild November thusfar, winter is upon us.
We held out as long as humanly possible this year before turning on our furnace, but it doesn't put off the inevitable.
This scripture makes me think, in order for the capable wife to have been prepared for snow in Bible times, it would have taken a lot of forethought and planning. She would have had to get out the warm garments from last year, mend them if needed, replace them if needed. She couldn't just run to Burlington to buy new coats.

She probably would have had to MAKE new coats to replace old ones!
So what kind of winter preparation does our "household" need this year?
Today's Day 17 Capable Wife Challenge is:
Prep for snow ... today!
This year, lets not wait till the first snowfall to take care of some necessary cold weather prep.
Dig out last years coats and see who needs new ones.
Do the weatherproofing on the windows.
Get those snow tires or service the furnace.
Whatever your house needs, do some of the work today so you can have CONFIDENCE that your household will be prepared.
