Ok, friends ...
I'm going to have to get real this morning.
I've been sitting here at my desk for almost an hour, having gotten up early to write, but nothing is wanting to come out. I checked my facebook notifications, scrolled a little down my feed, and stumbled upon the results of the election. I'm just at a loss ....
It has been incredibly difficult for me to remain neutral during this US election.
I felt myself being swayed very heavily by the news articles and videos that I was seeing. I took action to unfollow and shield myself from it all too late.
And now, I highly commend those of you who are able to feel indifferent to the results.
My head says that I should be hopeful that this means that things are going "from bad to worse"
Instead, I feel as if there has been a shooting or natural disaster with catastrophic casualties .. as if something truly terrible has happened in the world.
The Bible will show me the answer.
"She sets her mind on a field and buys it;"
- Proverbs 31:16a
She is strong. She is confident. She is looking ahead.
I want to be that woman!
He's telling us that it is ok to be proactive, to have our own ideas, to do things that men do.
Not only that it is ok ..... that it is a sign of being a CAPABLE wife!
So, the challenge for today:
The Day 9 Challenge is:
Don't dwell on the present.
Set your mind on the future.
Let's not dwell on this .. but instead look ahead to the future and the wonderful promises that await us.
And here's a hug from me to you today.
